| || Performs executive, administrative duties concerning various aspects of operational management in support of the Service Plus philosophy and mission of Texas Tech System. |

Monitor, edit, and manage proposal submissions, coordinate and lead high-visibility projects, review and analyze selected corporate programs/initiatives, and act as the Institutional Advancement liaison on philanthropic efforts at the system and national level.
Serve as liaison officer for the Vice Chancellor for coordinating strategic programs/initiatives with key System and University leadership that includes the Chancellor's cabinet, Deans, faculty, staff, and department heads.
Responsible for running the complex day-to-day operations of the System Office of Institutional Advancement (IA) and leading projects and programs that leverage Texas Tech University System's philanthropic enterprise potential and support the System's and Universities' strategic priorities.
Give presentations and help draft correspondence to be distributed to staff and external stakeholders.
Coordinate closely with all internal Institutional Advancement staff including all Associate and Assistant Vice Chancellors, human resources, and other personnel and stakeholders, as appropriate, in order to support daily operations and support all philanthropic initiatives aimed at enlarging and sustaining System-wide philanthropic gift flow.
Have the highest integrity and ethics, be open and transparent in all communications, yet capable of exercising intuitive discretion in sensitive matters. Must understand and respect the Texas Tech University System traditions while simultaneously challenging the System to continue to grow.
Responsible for directly supporting concurrent projects that enhance the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement's frontline fundraising activities and meet the expectations of all internal and external stakeholders.
Engage in effective interpersonal relationships; work cooperatively with the Texas Tech Institutional Advancement team and other units at the university.
| || Bachelor's degree required in appropriate field based on assigned area of responsibility; eight years of professional and/or management experience in related area. Additional job-related education may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis. |
| || Master's Degree in business/systems management. Extensive experience working within higher education. Experience supervising professional staff and leading change at high levels. Possess a thorough understanding of Texas Tech University System's history and strategic objectives. Proven ability to develop and implement operational plans and policies that communicate the strategic intent of the organization. Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively with higher level staff, deans, college heads, faculty, and staff. Team oriented, self-motivated, and results driven. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Proven organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to personal and team development. Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel. |
