myCareer Guidelines

The goal of the myCareer Program is to provide the process, technology, and resources necessary for employees to match their strengths, interests, and abilities to available internal job opportunities.

Internal employee mobility and career management are collaborative responsibilities between employees and leaders across all companies. Employees must take responsibility for their careers by maintaining their personal talent profiles, managing their personal development, demonstrating values, developing and maintaining an internal network of peers and mentors, and identifying potential career opportunities.

Company leaders are responsible for career coaching and mentoring, identifying development opportunities, and where appropriate, sponsoring employees for position opportunities. Leaders also need to provide candid feedback to employees about their job performance and potential career moves.

Eligibility for Application

myCareer is open to all employees and supports the practice of internal placement and promotions across the various Masco Companies. Additionally, the program is a resource for identifying and providing timely placement of qualified employees.

Method of Posting

myCareer provides visibility to all open positions through a formal and standardized process consisting of a web-based application process. While it is expected that all open positions will be posted, conditions may exist that cause a position to be filled without posting. Employees have the opportunity to view and apply to open positions that are aligned with their personal career objectives, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities of the Employee

Employees are encouraged to explore job opportunities through myCareer. To facilitate the process, employees must update and create an Internal Resume prior to applying on-line for the specific position. If selected to interview, the employee must inform his/her supervisor and Human Resources before formally interviewing with the hiring unit. Additionally, the employee must inform the recruiter, hiring manager, and his/her supervisor of all other intra- and/or inter-company interview(s). Employees should recognize that responding to a posting does not guarantee an interview.

Responsibilities of the Hiring Company

Masco Corporation is maintaining the content of the myCareer website as a service to the Operating Companies and their employees. It is the responsibility of each hiring Company to fill their positions with the most qualified candidate. Operating Companies and Hiring Managers are encouraged to consider internal candidates before external candidates.

When considering an employee from another Operating Company, the hiring manager by way of Human Resources is to inform the employee's supervisor prior to scheduling an interview. Prior to extending a job offer, Human Resources at the hiring unit is required to conduct a reference with the employee's supervisor and, if selected, to coordinate a start date. All internal candidates interviewed by the hiring Company are to be notified of the disposition of the posted opening.

Masco is an Equal Opportunity Employer with a culture that supports
our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
