Process Hazards Analysis (PHA) Coordinator – HSE in Design
Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
This position is a role within the HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) in Design Department.

Responsibilities include:
· Coordinate and facilitate PHAs (HAZOP and What-if studies) for a variety of refinery-based sustaining capital and investment capital projects.
· Assisting our Client’s Process Safety Management (PSM) Team with the facilitation of refinery unit-by-unit PHAs.
· Developing an understanding of refinery unit processes and operations, instrumentation, control systems, shutdown systems, and methods of plant safeguarding.
· Developing an understanding of other risk-management tools, such as Safety Instrumented Functions (SIF), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
· Participate in LOPA reviews.
· Candidates with the appropriate level of experience would have the ability to interact with the Client’s Process Safety Management program and influence strategy to the benefit of the entire organization.
· Minimum two year diploma in Engineering Technology from Community College is desirable, however not a requirement provided the candidate has relevant industrial experience in the subject area.
· Knowledge of the unit operations and processes in petroleum refining is desirable. ·Proven communication experience in facilitating group meetings, guiding and aligning team conversation, and maintaining a group focus are all desirable attributes of a suitable candidate.
· Prior experience in the subject area (5-10 years) is preferred.
