| || JOB OVERVIEW
The Staff Research Associate I (SRA I) will be responsible for building and managing a repository of plasma, DNA, RNA extracted from blood, nasal, oral, and stool samples. The successful applicant must be able to perform lymphocyte extraction. In addition, the applicant will be responsible for running immunoassays, genotyping with the Envision technology, and assisting staff with basic molecular biology related experiments and other miscellaneous everyday lab functions. This includes, but is not limited to, updating and maintaining database of biological results, keeping stock and ordering of new materials, and, on occasion, interacting with collaborators regarding biospecimen-related matters.
In addition to the above, the SRA I must be able to design and execute experiments independently and the ability to identity and troubleshoot problematic assays.
The job involves the ability for manual dexterity and stamina to perform precise repetitive tasks.

| || • Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and knowledge of, or experience with, the basic techniques or methods required by the position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic computer skills and data entry skills
• Knowledge of basic molecular biology, immunology, and genetics
• Ability to focus and remain detail-oriented while working on large quantities of repetitive tasks
• Ability to multi-task and time manage
• Ability to communicate with other team members
• Genotyping using the Envision® Technology
• Ability to work under general supervision and/or independently
