The CVIR Department is a dynamic, cutting edge department offering state of the art treatment options for the city of Alexandria and the surrounding areas. Our Department encompasses Interventional Radiology, Echocardiography, Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, Vascular Imaging, as well as, a 14 room Patient Admission/Recovery area.
Our Interventional Radiology Team provides patients with the latest treatment options not offered at other local institutions. The newest addition to our 4 room suite includes the Magellan Robot, which allows our physicians to perform Uterine Artery Embolization and Prostate Embolization. These cutting edge services are offered in addition to our other procedures, such as angioplasty, radio frequency ablation, cryoablation, chemo embolization, vertebropasty, and others.
The Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab provide state of the art treatment in Right/Left Heart Catherization and stent deployment. Other services include pacer insertion – both permanent and temporary, as well as, EP stimulation and ablation. Our Echocardiography and Vascular Services are offered in an 8 room suite. Both Transesophageal Echocardiography and Cardioversions are offered in conjunction with our anesthesiologist group.

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and ensuring provision of safe quality patient care by daily monitoring of the activities of assigned staff and by taking corrective action as necessary.
The ICC is accountable for outcomes related to patient satisfaction and clinical performance and cost.
The ICC interfaces with physicians to identify and resolve operational issues and or needs.
The ICC is Responsible for hiring and orientation of new employees.
The ICC will have team building skills and create strong morale and spirit in team members.
Clinical Practice and Case Management: Provides safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and caring way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skill and experiences to meet the needs of the patient.
