Secondment /Fixed term Opportunity for 1 year in the first instance
NMAHP Women Children Young People and Families (WCYPF) team is seeking to appoint a high performing, highly motivated team member, to assist in the development, coordination and contribution to a range of programmes. The particular focus will be on education to support the maternity care workforce to implement ‘Best start’ .
The WCYPF team will be delivering a suite of post-registration courses developed to support maternity service professionals and other associated professionals to meet the current changing focus of maternity services and care throughout Scotland. The courses will be run in local centres working to a nationally agreed curriculum.
The successful candidates will ensure that a high and consistent standard of training is delivered in a multiprofessional environment, participating in the training of instructors/ facilitators and contributing to other related project work within the WCYPF department. The successful candidate should have the relevant clinical knowledge to deliver the range of maternity and neonatal courses offered by the programme and should be experienced in clinical instruction.
The post is based at Westport in Edinburgh, although extensive travel around Scotland will be required.
