Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is a national special health board which provides education, training and workforce development for those who work in and with NHS Scotland. Working in partnership with our stakeholders in health and social care, we aim to provide education that enables excellence in health and care for the people of Scotland. The Remote and Rural Healthcare Educational Alliance (RRHEAL) was established in 2008 as part of NES to support the development of a sustainable health system for remote rural and island Scotland.
What You Will Do
The post holder will provide overall management for RRHEAL work streams/projects by supporting, facilitating and monitoring the progress of these within and across Scottish sites.
What You Will Bring
The postholder will have highly developed specialist knowledge of nursing practice at the interface with high quality remote and rural service delivery. The postholder will be innovative, and have a responsibility for developing and changing nursing education and practice The post holder will be required to work with/in consultation with colleagues within NES, NHSS and wider public service.
Educated to degree level with postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject, masters or equivalent experience the post holder will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have experience across nursing and midwifery education Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational, management and leadership skills are essential, along with a good understanding of practice, education and professional structures and processes, including NMC regulation and standards.
