36 months in the first instance
NES is responsible for managing postgraduate medical training in Scotland.
A unique opportunity is now available to be responsible for managing a Foundation Programme and the education and training needs of each individual on the programme (approximately 30 trainees).
Applications are invited from consultants, career grade doctors and General Practitioners with appropriate experience for the post of Foundation Programme Director in the North of Scotland. The post is for one session (PA) per week, based on existing salary arrangements and is for 36 months in the first instance
Some travel throughout Scotland may be required.
You should have an appropriate professional qualification and be a trained healthcare professional with appropriate service experience. Knowledge of undergraduate/postgraduate medical educational activities and experience of delivery of medical education and training is essential as is management and interpersonal skills.
