Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunities for:
Post 1 – Primary focus on Midwifery and Child Health for 24 months in the first instance.
Post 2 – Primary focus on Healthcare Associated Infection and post registration education until 31st March 2019

What You’ll Do
We are seeking to appoint 2 dynamic leaders, to join our senior clinical education team.
Post 1 – The post holder will lead on a portfolio of work, primarily providing strategic leadership and future-focused direction for midwifery and child health nursing, which will include providing leadership for the commissioning and monitoring of pre-registration nursing and midwifery, health visitor and school nurse programmes of education.
Post 2 – The post holder will lead on a portfolio of work, primarily providing strategic leadership and future-focused direction for Healthcare Associated Infections as well as providing leadership for agreed elements of post registration education.
The post holder(s) will provide professional leadership to key Directorate development activities aligned to national priorities, and the delivery of strategic outcomes linked to key policy drivers, including: Setting the Direction for Nursing and Midwifery Education in Scotland (Scottish Government 2014); Excellence in Care (Scottish Government 2015); The Best Start: A Five-Year Forward Plan for Maternity and Neonatal Care in Scotland (Scottish Government 2017); and the Nursing 2030 Vision : Promoting Confident, Competent and Collaborative Nursing for Scotland’s Future (Scottish Government 2017).
What You’ll Bring
Educated to Masters degree or evidence of equivalent learning, the post holder(s) will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have substantial experience across nursing and midwifery education.
Excellent communication, negotiation, organisational, management and leadership skills are essential, along with a good understanding of practice, education and professional structures and processes, including NMC regulation and standards.
Core to the post(s) is the ability to analyse information, understand complex arguments, make judgements and reconcile competing demands.
