What You'll Do The post holder will be responsible for the strategic management, development, quality assurance and evaluation of the Learning and Development Network for General Practice Nursing and the NHS Education for Scotland General Practice Nursing Programme (GPN Programme). The post holder is also involved in any other relevant educational development projects in primary care. The post holder is required to provide leadership, change management and project management expertise to ensure the delivery of these initiatives at national level.
Key tasks will include but will not be limited to:
· Monitor the progress of individuals participating in the programme and, based on these observations, identify and respond to any unmet learning needs or particular areas of difficulty that may need to be addressed. · Act as an expert point of reference for programme participants facing challenges and barriers during their participation on the programme. · Liaise with senior individuals in the public sector and professional groups. · Full managerial responsibility – budget holder for Networking and Learning and the GPN Programme, responsibility for organising all expenditure and accountable for expenditure in allocated budgets. · Strategically plan and organise all projects and initiatives e.g. NES Peer Appraisal for General Practice Nurses, and provides regular interim reports, annual reports, and objectives. Achieves the required outcomes of the Medical Directorate in relation to this work stream
What You'll Bring This will include but will not be limited to :
· Degree level qualification with in-depth experience and post-graduate or post-registration study or equivalent experience · Membership of a relevant professional, management, or educational body and regulatory body · Significant experience in practice nursing and project management in primary care · Expertise in designing and contributing to educational events · Excellent interpersonal skills, being able to lead, articulate and network effectively, working with a wide range of stakeholders
