This SBU provides unique offerings such as high heat resins, functional compounds and additives, specialty fluids, nanotechnology and thermoplastics composites to industries such as Additive Manufacturing, Consumer & Industrial, Electronics, Healthcare, Mass Transportation, Automotive and Water Management.
The Sr. Environmental Engineer for WASTEWATER (where WASTEWATER means groundwater, storm water, sanitary sewage, process wastewater, and WWTP) will be responsible for leadership of the site’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations related to the Clean Water Act (CWA) as well as the site’s conformance with Responsible Care®, ISO14001, and corporate and site management systems and policies. WASTEWATER responsibilities include groundwater, storm water, sanitary sewage, process wastewater, and a 1 MGD on-site wastewater treatment plant operating 24-7-365 subject to ISO14001 and RC14001, SPDES, OCPSF, OSHA 1910.119, and other local, state, and federal requirements and company policies.
•Provide site leadership for assigned regulatory programs and become the Subject Matter Expert for WASTEWATER.
•Act as single point of contact for environmental compliance issues within site and assigned operations for WASTEWATER.
•Perform WASTEWATER treatment engineering analyses, process studies, troubleshooting, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
•Develop and report short-term objectives and long-term strategies to improve operability, reliability, operational flexibility, and compliance of the site’s WASTEWATER systems, programs, and operations.
•Prepare budget estimates by assembling and preparing data, reports, and cost estimates.
•Perform assignments, which involve design plans, investigations, a process study, specifications, surveys, structures, or equipment with increasingly more complex features and aspects.
•Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements for site and assigned units and programs.
•Engage peers with a team approach to successfully meet the site EHSS objectives.
•Implement and maintain the related environmental areas of the site’s Safety, Health and Environmental management system.
•Work with area operations to meet environmental expectations and improve environmental performance metrics.
•Provide technical direction and execution of assigned environmental programs.
•Interface with other EHSS Leaders on programs, including Security; PSM (OSHA 1910.119); Safety, Occupational Health; CAA; Title V; Used Oil; Universal Waste; TSCA; PCBs; Hazardous and nonhazardous wastes, waste minimization, and remediation; Bulk Chemical Storage regulations (CBS/PBS) and program management; TIER II and TRI Reporting; and DOT compliance.
