We require a Senior Technology Strategy and Planning Manager to join our RESL and Lending Technology team. The successful candidate will report to the AVP TS, RESL and Lending, directly supporting TD’s Payments business, focusing on Payments Innovation.
The Payments business is responsible for the development of a broad suite of Money-Movement and Payments products. They operate in a dynamic space and will be growing over the next 3 to 5 years.
Accountabilities will include:• Support Payments strategy development from a technology perspective • Industry trend analysis, emerging technologies and business model innovation
• Partner with the business to support technical due diligence of vendors and partners• Strategic planning related to Payments business to drive future profitability and enhance the customer and employee experience• Provide technical leadership on enhancements to optimize existing Payments products and services
• Oversee and/or develop Proof-of-Concept (POC) implementations of payment technologies. This role has a strong hands-on component.• Develop portfolio specific technology strategy in conjunction with the business stakeholders and TS executives, seeking input throughout the strategy creation process • Translate business strategy into technology strategies and ensure that new capabilities required by the business are supported, and that priorities and strategies are consistent with business goals and economic viability• Forecast business transformation initiatives & schedule for the current and future fiscal years, forecasting business demand for IT resources and providing input into the capacity plans• Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and develop deep understand of leading-edge payment technology trends/developments
• Strong knowledge of traditional payments systems (wires, EFT/ACH, Bill Pay, FX, e-Transfer, etc); experience with emerging / disruptive payments is a strong plus (Square, Paypal, Mintchip, etc)
