The Office of the CDO (Chief Data Officer) is responsible for enabling the enterprise data strategy across TD. To support that, the Office of the CDO (OCDO) provides unified approaches, tools & standards for data and works collaboratively with business segments, corporate functions and technology groups to implement across the organization.
Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) is a fundamental function of the OCDO and an evolving practice that seeks to establish that data is a high value enterprise asset. Effective data governance supports critical business and strategic decision making, legendary customer experiences and reduced operational and reputational risk.
Reports to the SM, Communication, Change Management & Education to establish and direct a best practice center for all CDO training capabilities, and to assist CDO advisory centers in their initiatives
§ Conducts workshops to train and educate stakeholders across the enterprise on
initiatives originating from the Office of the CDO and on data literacy in general
§ Collaborates with Technology stakeholders to develop and deliver training and
education for architects, application developers and other technology stakeholders in
adopting data standards
§ Develops data education training programs and courses in collaboration with TD’s
existing Learning and Development teams
§ Creates supporting documentation including community knowledge sites, to reinforce
data standards and practices ensuring enterprise awareness
§ Requires an in-depth understanding of leading training practices and high-level
understanding of data initiatives at the enterprise
§ Monitors emerging trends, tools, and methodologies for data education
§ In-depth knowledge of enterprise data management
§ Research skills, problem solving & decision making
§ Root cause analysis
§ Demonstrated leadership and people management
§ Excellent communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively at senior levels
§ Entrepreneurial, negotiation & influencing skills; stakeholder engagement

§ Proficient in MS Office suite
· Experience with working in both a
technical and business context; able to translate technical concepts into easy to understand business language
§ Experience in developing training programs and supporting material related to data education
