The Port of Seattle offers a diverse range of opportunities for students of every level to pursue career advancement in their respective field of study. The Port of Seattle accepts a majority of applications for internship programs during the end of February through the month of April. Before you apply for a Port internship, please be sure to have the following application materials ready:
Graduate or College:
  • Resume
  • Cover letter (explain how the internship fits with your education, learning plans and/or future career path)
  • Proof of internship eligibility; official or unofficial transcripts (attach to application)
  • Learning objectives (to be filled out within application)
  • References or letters of recommendation (optional)
High School:
  • Resume
  • Cover letter (explain how the internship fits with your education, learning plans and/or future career path)
  • One letter of recommendation or sponsorship from a school faculty member (Teacher or Counselor) or previous employer is required (attach to application)
  • Learning objectives (to be filled out within application)
