Director, Audience Development

Bravo and Oxygen Digital is looking for a well-rounded, data-driven individual to help drive audience scale and engagement across all its platforms. You’ll be charged with developing a clear, coherent strategy to accelerate our digital growth and will have the operational ability to take big ideas and execute them to achieve meaningful results.
We’re looking for a hands-on, KPI-focused individual who likes to iterate their way to success. You’ll be well-versed in the world of paid acquisition and have the ability to build comprehensive ROI-models to ensure we’re driving traffic through the most efficient channels possible.
On the organic side, you’ll understand and be able to oversee implementation of SEO best practices and help us optimize efforts on Google AMP and Facebook Instant Articles. You’ll live and breathe A/B testing and have the ability to devise a series of comprehensive A/B tests across different platforms to drive learnings and results.
Being an expert in data-driven social publishing is an absolute must for this role, but you’ll also embrace more traditional tactics. You’ll help devise and implement our email acquisition strategy, working with our product and content teams on a suite of editorial email products.
Experience striking and operationalizing partnerships is desired as we seek to increase distribution of our content. From third party content publishers to platforms such as Apple News, you’ll develop a plan to ensure our digital content reaches the widest possible audience (profitably!).
To succeed in this role you’ll be comfortable working across departments on complex and sometimes matrixed initiatives. But our ideal candidate will move quickly, understand the value of failing fast and be constantly experimenting with a variety of tactics and ideas.

Ability to interpret and synthesize data to help drive editorial decisions
- Develop ROI models around paid acquisition tactics
- Understand SEO best practices and work with product team to implement
- Develop plan to increase user engagement through email newsletters
- Ability to identify, negotiate and operationalize content partnership deals with 3rd party publishes and platforms
- Deep understanding of social publishing platforms
- Strong editorial sensibilities
- Experience growing a YouTube channel is a plus
