In the HEDIS Outreach Coordinator
position you will provide support both onsite and telephonically to Members and Providers related to education on preventive health screenings and disease monitoring testing to increase compliance with HEDIS quality measures. This position will also includes travel to Provider offices, discussions with providers on alternative options for medical record collection, and data entry/scanning of medical records.Fundamental Components:
-Phone calls to members/providers to educate on preventive health screenings/disease monitoring testing
-Collection of medical records telephonically from provider offices
-Travel to provider office locations 10-25% of time
-Educating providers on HEDIS
-Promoting alternative methods of record collection such as remote EMR access/data feeds
-Reviewing medical records for HEDIS data
2+ years of Healthcare experience; at least one year of HEDIS experience.
- 2+ years of Medical record experience; knowledge of medical codes
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
-Advanced phone skills
-Professional communication skills: Written and Verbal
- Good business acumen
-Professional dress attire is required for Provider office visits
-Advanced customer service skills relate to healthcare; such as; medical office
-Moderate office equipment experience (scanner, flash drive, ipad, copier, fax, computer)
-Moderate to Advanced Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must have reliable means of transportation and clean DMV record.EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience.ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
* The location is Urbandale, IA, but must be able to travel locally for this position.
