General Summary and Basic Function:


Located in the Northeast U.S. Region, this sales position is responsible for the success of Xylem Analytics products in the Northeast U.S. Region, including sales and budget performance in the territory, as well as direct sales and key customer development.There is flexibility regarding work location city within the Northeast U.S. Region.


Job Specifications and Work Performed:


1.   Direct Sales within Region

2.   Assist with development of territory sales plan

3.   Meet sales, profit and budget targets

4.   Develop and maintain relationships with influencers and key organizations

5.   On-going analysis of competition and appropriate adjustments of plans

6.   Provide equipment training and installation support

7.   Support team, specialty and major dealers as required

8.   Set up trade show booths

9.   Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals for various product lines

10.   Generate and deliver business forecast

11.   Create, maintain and execute territory sales plan

12.   Effectively manage expense budget


Travel: At least 50% overnight travel by car and plane required

1.   Knowledge of Water Quality, Acoustic Doppler Technology, Currents, Waves, Discharge, Data Collection and Telemetry equipment and applications

2.   Knowledge of aquatic biology, limnology, biology, geology, hydrology, oceanography

3.   Minimum two years of direct sales experience in the Environmental Market or related field

4.   Skilled with computer programs such as salesforce.com, Excel, Word, Powerpoint

5.   Demonstrated presentation skills

6.   Negotiation and selling skills

7.   Four year science degree, related to environmental sciences, hydrology, or oceanology

8.   Ability to lift 30 lbs

2.   High level of comfort working with a wide variety of people in a variety of settings

3.   Ability to multi-task

4.   Follow through on communications and responsibilities
