Summer Inclusion Support Staff

Position Summary:

The Summer Inclusion Support Staff supports persons with disabilities in programs (e.g. personal care, lifting procedures, adapting activities, administering medications, etc.) - may be required to develop a specific plan.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working with individuals with special needs or currently enrolled in a Therapeutic Recreation Degree program.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Current certification in Emergency First Aid and Level B CPR.
  • Successful completion of all training requirements (Including High Five, Accessibility training and WHMIS).
  • Screening through the Child Abuse Registry and if applicable, a Police Records Check.

Work Status: Seasonal - June 9, 2014 to August 29, 2014.

Wage Rate: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay).

Hours of Work: Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.

Work Location: Various Community Recreation Centres.
