POSITION SUMMARY
The Software Engineer will report to the Sr. Manager of Application Development. The Software Engineer will be responsible for working in business and engineering application development, analyze users’ needs, and design, code, test, deploy and maintain existing as well as new software applications/modules. The ideal candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities. A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment, possess strong programming skills, and be a logical and disciplined thinker. Flexibility and tolerance is a necessity.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Full lifecycle application development
•Know basic business functions, have a firm understanding of design methodology, and excellent communication skills.
•Designing, coding, debugging and deploying applications in C# .NET 4.0 software language.
•Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
•Software modeling and simulation
•Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports.
•Review and repair code when needed.
•Analyze, design, coordinate and supervise the development of software systems to form a basis for the solution of information processing problems.
•Responsible for developing new program modules and proofing the modules to develop needed changes to assure production of a quality product.
•Writes, edits, and debugs new computer programs for assigned projects, including necessary records and desired output.

•Monitor and analyze existing modules to ensure functionality and current look and feel.
•Highly adaptable in quickly changing technical environments with very strong organizational and analytical skills.
•Work with lead developer to maintain custom application where business requirements cannot be satisfied through commercially available solutions.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree or greater in CS, MIS or comparable business discipline.
Experience & Required Skills:
•Minimum 7 years design, creation, relational databases and maintenance of software applications with a global company.
•Strong knowledge of C# .NET 4.0; Mono experience is a plus.
•Strong grasp of WPF / XAML / MVVM, data binding.
•Experience with unit/integration testing technologies such as NUnit is preferred.
•Good understanding of software concepts & design patterns such as Inversion of Control (IoC) / Dependency Injection, Mocking, Command pattern, Parallel processing /concurrency.
•Must understand RESTful web service methodologies.
•Previous ServiceStack experience is a plus.
•Strong understanding of T-SQL, Databases of all flavors, primarily Sqlite, Sql Server & Oracle

•Extensive experience with Source Code management (SCM) tools (subversion and/or Team Foundation Server preferred).
•Demonstrated experience writing robust software that delivers high quality results.
•Demonstrated experience with leading the effective usage of software development technologies and best practices. This spans the entire product lifecycle from requirements, design, development, validation/test, and post release maintenance.
•Self-motivated to solve problems and resolve issues individually.
•Professional maturity and soft-skills with ability to diplomatically interact with coworkers and internal customers, often under stressful and demanding situations.
