Role Overview
AMEC is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant in our Burnaby, BC office to provide environmental site assessment and compliance related services to local, national and international clients. 
 
Key Responsibilities
·         Client account management and growth of the practice in the Lower Mainland and British Columbia.
·         Direct and manage environmental projects related to environmental compliance, environmental site assessment, remediation and waste management. 
·         Oversee deliverable quality reviews, commercial performance and client relationships.
·         Management, development and supervision of junior staff supporting project activities
·         Management of multi-site portfolio projects. 
·         Providing expertise in interpreting investigation results and their implications in the BC regulatory framework to successfully meet the clients’ requirements;
·         Opportunity to collaborate with other AMEC offices/environmental staff on projects in Western Canadian locations.
 
Role Requirements
·         Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution plus appropriate continuing education.
·         P.Eng. or P.Geo. with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia
·         Contaminant hydrogeology background is an asset, CSAP accreditation a plus.
·         12 years + industry experience conducting relevant projects in a consulting environment.
·         Experience managing tasks and projects in a team environment.
·         Knowledge and experience in Federal and Provincial environmental legislation, regulations and processes is preferred.
·         Desire to provide excellent practical client service and a commitment to technical excellence.
·         Strong written and oral communication (English) skills.
·         Valid Driver’s License
