Job Description
The IHR Nexus Lab is seeking qualified candidates for the position of full time Project Manager. This position will oversee not only internal projects, but will also be 50% dedicated to project management of the new HASTAC-ASU partnership, including maintenance of the Drupal 5 website and outreach and programing duties. HASTAC (Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Alliance and Collaboratory) is an interdisciplinary community of humanists, artists, social scientists, scientists, and technologists that are changing the way we teach and learn. Our 13,000+ members from over 400+ affiliate organizations share news, tools, research, insights, pedagogy, methods, and projects--including Digital Humanities and other born-digital scholarship--and collaborate on various HASTAC initiatives.

Essential Duties
- Develops project plans, protocols, and/or informed consents.
- Plans and negotiates project budgets and timelines.
- Trains project staff on methods and protocols.
- Monitors and ensures regulatory compliance and adverse event reporting.
- Supervises and facilitates the development of high impact training/presentation materials and content, or workshops, meetings and conferences with program/project participants; oversees logistics, scheduling and target audience communications.
- Organizes and leads necessary project team training efforts for all facets of the project and consults with management to coordinate training and monitor observation efforts, as well as discuss noted findings.
- Oversees the evaluation of effectiveness of programs/projects to develop and implement the goals and objectives including: improved methods of program/project delivery; evaluation methodology design and implementation including analysis of results and takes or recommends proper action based on outcomes.
- Develops and monitors daily operations and coordinates program/project activities. Communicate project status and timelines.
- Oversees the preparation of proposals for continued funding; acts as the primary liaison with current funding source.
- Supervises the preparation of budget proposals; establishes expenditure controls and recommends the allocation of resources within the limitations of the budget.
- Directs the recruitment of local participants within the region utilizing the most appropriate promotional and marketing methods.
- Establishes and maintains liaison with regional, state or national organizations involved in the implementation of technology.
- Works in collaborative teams and effectively oversee student staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience; 1 of which are in project management, or any equivalent combination of experience and /or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Evidence of a Master's Degree or higher in appropriate field
- Experience in Drupal 7 programming
- Relevant project management experience
- Experience in higher education
- Experience managing multi-institutional digital humanities projects
- Experience with community web development and maintenance
- Demonstrated knowledge of the HASTAC community and its networking needs
Working Environment
Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking. Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer; bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds. Ability to clearly communicate verbally in English, read, write, see and hear to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.
