|Exchange Systems Engineer II|
For the OMDAC-SWACA program the Exchange Senior Systems Engineers shall be primarily responsible for providing the day-to-day maintenance of the theater exchange mail services.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
a. Be responsible for inter-forest connection agreements, routing for all theater Exchange organization sites
b. Shall maintain all site Exchange bridgehead server configurations.
c. provide Tier III Exchange troubleshooting and problem resolution; maintain email security settings, mailbox management, repair of failed or corrupted exchange servers
d. Determine proper maintenance intervals and capacity planning and storage requirements.
e. The Exchange Senior Systems Engineers shall also be responsible for assisting the AD Systems Administrators with all the required AD support.
f. The Engineers shall provide Tier III Exchange troubleshooting and problem resolution; maintain email security settings, mailbox management, repair of failed or corrupted exchange servers; and determine proper maintenance intervals and capacity planning and storage requirements.
g. Provide troubleshooting support for critical Exchange and core AD servers in support of the TNOSC O&M responsibilities.
h. Perform necessary hands-on maintenance of Exchange and AD assets.
i. Provide services needed according to local and higher Headquarters guidance.
j. Detect, report, and mitigate physical security compromises of any system according to established guidance, policy, and regulation.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
1. Must be able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs.
2. Working environment will be 80% indoor, 20% outside. The outside work environment will also be very hot due to conditions within the region.

At least seven years of practical experience working with Windows 2003 or Active Directory. Advanced understanding of Active Directory design, configuration and administration. Understanding of basic security principles and their application to an Active Directory Environment. At least three years specific experience working with Exchange 2003 or above.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be able to work rotating shift schedules which provide 24 hour day/7 day week coverage.
