Develop and apply Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories, and techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems in the design of Mixed-Signal Intellectual Property (IP). Assess design methodology, CAD tool, and hardware limitations in IP project setup and support in a worldwide organization, responsible for interfacing with foundries, configuring the CAD environment and developing new tools and flows to support the design of Mixed Signal IP.
To Define and developed new approaches and implementation of CAD software and design specifications. Develop routines and utility programs to aid in the design of Mixed-Signal IP. Support design teams with help in debugging, releasing, and testing during complete development cycle of IP tapeout.
Â· Understand and improve custom design (FE and BE) methodology
Â· Potentially participate in IP development while deploying the methodologies
Â· Create and maintain flows to help CAD to deploy developed methodologies to distributed IP teams, including monitoring the usage of specific flow/scripts, creating training material and conduct training for users on various custom design flows
Â· Hands on experience with Custom design environment, including Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys CustomDesigner, both front end (schematic capture, simulation environment) and back end (layout editing environment, SDL)
Â· Familiar with PDK, including pcells, symbol libraries, CDF, call backs. Hands-on experience a plus
Â· Hands-on experience with transistor level simulations, physical verification (DRC/LVS), and parasitic extractions
Â· Experience with actual chip tape out is a big plus
Â· Expert Programming skills in at least one language (Perl/Tcl/Python/Shell)
Â· Requires strong communication skills, builds productive internal/external working relationships, in a multi-site multi-functional work environment
Â· BS with 5 yearsâ€™ experience, or MS with 2 yearsâ€™ experience
